State politics vs living politics

CLP sees a fundamental split between ‘state politics’ and the world of resistance. The former is a dead politics concerned with managing the relationship of the people to the dominant order and is constituted not only by the state as such but also by civil society (including business, labour, political parties, the church and NGOs). CLP has hitherto thought of itself as at the periphery of this world of the state but now seeks to integrate with and be shaped by that world which is at the centre of resistance. This is where the people who are made worthless in the politics of the state create a living politics where everyone counts.
